Jon grew up on Mercer Island, attending M.I. public schools, graduating from Mercer Island high School in 1985.  He subsequently attended the University of Washington, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Jon is currently President of an established homebuilding and development company on Mercer Island where he lives with his wife Lori and their two young children.  He serves on the board of the Stroum JCC and AIPAC, and is a commercially licensed pilot.  Jon has extensive knowledge of Mercer Island's city codes and has worked with the city's devlopment staff for years.  His lifetime of experience on Mercer Island has given him a unique perspective on issues facing the City Council, and a love and loyalty for this community.
"This community gave me my start in life and has helped me establish a successful business as an adult.  It's my turn to give something back."
